I am what I like to call one of the veterans here at M.I.T.C.H. Charter School. This will be my seventh year. I have worn numerous hats throughout the years but first grade has by far been my favorite. First grade is a very special year when I truly get to facilitate your children from babies into competent independent and capable young children. They will go from barely knowing how to spell a few words to reading and writing full paragraphs! It is magical and I love my job!
I have my Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and my Masters Degree in Education focused on Early Childhood Education both from Portland State University. I am a wife and proud mother. I have an almost 13 year old step daughter, an almost 3 year old son, and a one year old daughter. My family and I love to travel. My husband is Australian so we are lucky enough for Australia to be one of our many destinations every couple years. I love soccer, fitness and exercise, biking, hiking and boating! I share some of these passions with all students here at M.I.T.C.H. through the after school program in which I teach three days a week. I have a true passion for life and fun and believe in making and seeing the best in every situation! |
