As a parent you can expect math and language arts (reading, writing, spelling) homework each night. MITCH does not do homework during the school day (it would not be home work if we did). We do not assign "busy" work for students as we are all too "busy" in our personal lives to create more "busy" work. Every grade participates in a special Core Knowledge Event. These events will take extra time and work for the student and family. e.g. Greek Olympics 2nd grade, Shakespeare "Mid Summer Night's Dream", middles schools community project, Mock Trial and Prince and the Pauper Tea Party 6th grade. 5th grade, 6th grade 7th grade and 8th grades all participate in a Fall Science Fair. We align our science fairs to Oregon's state standards. |
