Homework over the long week-end…
Math #39 – I gave the kids extra time to work on this, so it shouldn’t take much time to finish.
Spelling – I also gave the students time to get started on their spelling, so it shouldn’t take them too long to finish.
Science Fair Speeches/Oral Reports – Students have an outline and need to make notecards. We will work on practicing the speeches with partners on Monday, the 26th and finalize their notecards. Then on Tuesday, they will give their oral reports in front of the entire class for a grade. A few students volunteered to speak about our project at the science fair assembly and we will practice that presentation in class as well. They will also perform their “Scientific Method Rap” at the assembly. As you are celebrating the holiday with family and friends your child could practice their speech on an audience! See the attachment for the speech outline.
Coat of Arms Shield and Writing – Many students did not finish these in class. They have written the rough copies of the paragraph and are mostly working on getting the final draft done and finishing their shield. Look in your child’s DOG to see if they need to work on this. Again, it was mostly done in class, and just needs to be finished at home. It isn’t due until Thursday, Nov. 29th, but if they have time this week it would be helpful to get it done.
