1. Write each new spelling word (3x on paper and once to alphabetize in spelling notebook) so you have a total of 4, using syllable breaks.Optional: Only use markings if they are helpful to you in learning the spelling.
2.Each new word should be written and recited in a mixed pattern with other new words.
3. Write one sentence per new word using 6 or more words per sentence.(See Weekly Assignment Sheet for any “extra” sentence criteria.)
4.Underline each spelling word within the sentence.
* Do not use syllable breaks or markings in your sentences.
* Number each sentence to the left of the red margin line.
* Start each sentence on a new line, to the right of the red margin line.
* Use correct capitalization, punctuation, and grammar.
MISSED WORDS (check Spelling Notebook for checkmarks)…5. Write each misspelled word 4 times total using syllable breaks.
****Note:Thursdays will consist of a Wordly Wise workbook assignment- no sentences on loose leaf paper due.
