Below is the homework and subjects upcoming events for the week in kindergarten. We had a hard start to the week with spelling but with just a little review we are back on track and spelling words are going very well. While phonograms are beginning to take on more meaning for students, checkpoints and overall tidiness has taken a bit of a back seat. Please maintain those beautiful checkpoints that students worked so hard to master. We also need to keep working to set up the HW page neatly. There are a few reminders below but please review newsletters from Jan 27th and Jan 20th.
Only the new spelling word is written to the Left of the Left margin and this is done at school.
The new word(s) is written 3 more times at home – using the fold lines as pretend margin lines.
Missed words are written 4 times at home, using the red margin and 3 fold lines as margins.
Missed phonograms are written 4 times using finger spaces (not the margin lines). Alternate phonograms if more than one is missed.
Keep focusing on checkpoints.
