Kindergarten Supply List 2011 - 2012

Note: Please leave supplies unlabeled unless otherwise noted- we will be using the materials as a community. Supplies should be dropped off at school by the end of the first week of school.

• 1/2 inch 3 ring binder (w/ pocket on cover/labeled w/ name).
• 1 washable watercolor paint set
• 2 reams white copy paper(8 1/2” X 11”)
• 1 box of thin washable markers
• 1 box of thick washable markers
• 1 box 16+ crayons
• 5 regular black led, yellow bodied pencils such as Dixon (please no patterned pencils or other colors)
• One oversized men's undershirt shirt labeled w/ name for art
• 4 dry erase markers
• 1 roll scotch tape (with dispenser)
• 1 red pencil (without eraser if possible)
• 1 white stadler (preferred) eraser or pink pearl or eraser
• 1 brown paper grocery bag
• 1 plastic grocery bag
• 2-4 sheets of nonviolent/non-media/non-Disney stickers- any size
• 2 containers of Play-Doh (often comes in as a pack of four 10 – 12 oz containers. Please send at least 2 different colors to school)
• 1 reusable H20 bottle LABELED with name (use permanent marker). Must have a lid.
• 1 box plastic pencil box LABELED with name. Big enough to hold pencil, crayons, and markers but not too big because it must be able to fit into desk. (5ish x 8ish x 3ish size)
• 1 backpack or bag LABELED with name. This is to carry homework and other items to and from school. It is helpful it is waterproof for our many rainy months.

Girls:

• 1 box Kleenex
• 1 container sanitizing wipes.

Boys:

• 1 bottle hand sanitizer
• 1 container baby wipes

Optional/Suggested:

• What Every Kindergartener Needs to Know, by E.D. Hirsch, Jr. (usually found at Costco for $7.99)
• MITCH T-shirt for PE and field trip days (physical education) days.
• Change of clothes (underwear, pants, shirt, socks). All articles labeled w/ name and placed in large ziplock bag.
• 1 dry erase board – approximately 8 x 10 inches (give or take an inch)
