Hello to all Kindergarten Families –
It was wonderful to see everyone’s smiling faces back in class this week! We had a fun week back. I was excited to see how well Riggs tests went – great job reviewing over break! We have 6 phonograms left before spelling words. We’ll get through 4 next week, finish the final 2 the week after and then begin spelling! In Saxon we started working on telling time to the hour and counting by 2’s on the odd numbers. We talked a lot about the Wright Brothers since we had the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum visit us on Thursday. Hopefully you all saw the kites your kindergartner made. We will focus a lot on the Wright Brothers again next week as we prepare for the culminating field trip to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum on Friday the 13th. Also on Friday, students earned free dress. They voted to have Pajama Day. Free dress Pajama Day will be on Thursday, January 12th. Please keep in mind that while it is free dress and clothing will be varying in color and style, clothing should still adhere to MITCH guidelines of length, coverage etc.
This coming week Miss Fromme will be teaching AM and PM Kindergarten on Wednesday and Thursday. Some of the teachers need to be out of the building on those days and MITCH has asked me to teach 1st grade and Miss Fromme to cover AM Kindergarten. She will continue with phonograms and Saxon as usual. If you have any questions about class work or activity on those two days, please contact her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . I will see you all for the field trip on the 13th. We meet at 8:10 in the MITCH Gym. Pick up is in the Gym at 11:30.
