Dear Kindergarten Families – It’s our last week of phonograms! We only have 2 left, which we will cover Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday there will be a test on phonograms 27 – 55 (all multiple letter phonograms). On the following Monday we will begin spelling words! Students are very excited about this, and so am I. Homework sheets will look a little different. Students will learn this in class and I will go over it in next Friday’s newsletter and with student in class.
You will notice on the Upcoming Events list that Heritage Fair is just around the corner. On Tuesday students will be sent home with a family tree to complete with you. It will be due Thursday 1/19/12. (No worries it is short and sweet.) I will check off the family tree paper and send it back home to help with a short weekend homework assignment (over weekend January 20th – 22nd). On Tuesday the 24th we will be making our 3-dimensional family trees in class. I will need parent volunteers from 10 – 11. Please let me know if you can come help out. We would really appreciate any help we can get.
