My name is Elizabeth Fisher. I come to you from Bolton Primary, where I taught first grade. Since I first embarked on my journey as a teacher, I have been dreaming of teaching Kindergarten. I am delighted and honored to be have reached this dream at MITCH. Central to my educational philosophy is that I believe that every child is capable of greatness and it is my pleasure and privilege to help each student discover his and her genius and gifts.
Before becoming an elementary school teacher, I taught yoga. I have a degree in bookbinding and photography and spend much of my spare time making art and practicing yoga. When I’m not on my mat or in my studio I am spending time with my new husband, Mr. Fisher, who is also a teacher. Mr. Fisher is a drummer and is teaching me piano. We love making music, riding bikes, puttering in our vegetable garden, and taking our nine-year-old Labrador retriever to play ball at the park or on the beach.
Everything in my background has led me to M.I.T.C.H. I am completely, utterly, devoted to educating and supporting the mental, physical, emotional and social growth of your children. I look forward to getting t know your kindergartener and working with you to make this the best educational year possible. With great and guileless joy, with boundless energy, I look forward to the educational year ahead.
